Paintings

I have been painting for about thirty years.  I always loved to draw as a child, and when I grew up (if I ever did), I naturally gravitated toward painting as a hobby.  I am mostly self-taught, but I have attended many workshops and have studied through many books and personal observations the techniques of painting.  I have never wanted to specialize in one area—that is not my nature.  I always wanted to try my hand at something new, as this website should confirm.  Therefore, the selection of paintings that you will see will be oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel.  The subject matter, likewise, is varied, and, I hope, entertaining.

Georgia Tech Athletics

September 30, 2015

This unusual painting is done on a very old oak plank ironing board that belonged to the grandmother of the guy who commissioned the work.  The acrylic images depict the various sports played at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Georgia Tech Athletics
