Woodworking

I guess most retired old duffers like myself like woodworking. They make wooden trains for their grandkids and turn wooden bowls for their friends. While I like to do the same things, I like to be adventurous with my woodworking, trying to make things that are a little unusual. I will present here some of my strange concoctions that you might find interesting. I have found that my bowmaking has made me a better craftsman, and I enjoy using the beautiful woods to make attractive, useful items.

Wolf Arrow Box

I made this arrow box for a friend of mine. It is composed of cedar and painted with acrylic paint. I modelled it after a west coast North American native arrow box that I saw a picture of. I started with a cedar post from Home Depot, hollowed it out with chisels, put a simple pin hinge on one end and a simple latch on the front end.
